I began my memoir almost ten years ago, gathering information from old journals, audio tapes and notebooks, both my own and other’s involved in common events. There were many stops and starts, and it languished during family caregiving duties. When I moved to my farm, I felt the time was right focus on it again.

My years working with Dr. Andrija Puharich were some of the most exciting of my life. Surviving the arson of his home/lab in Ossining was the scariest, sending me underground and off the radar for decades. The before and after stories weave a crucial path for readers to follow my psychic development and contributions to society.

An important narrative emerged, but I was reluctant to go public. When a film director approached me about contributing to a documentary film about Puharich, I did some serious soul-searching. The time had come. I would participate in the movie and complete my own story, as told in “The Making of a Psychic.”

My friend, Nancy Leech, read and immediately sent me your wonderful book. Although, our lives are different, I wept when you explained your feelings, especially around being “different” because of your psychic abilities. Nail hit on head… you helped me process old hurts, made me feel validated, and not so alone. I have renewed vigour to continue giving readings and to complete my own book, “Abstract, Random Brian.” As a fellow Virginian (living in Ontario, Canada), I have to say, “Y’all done good!”

Brian, Thank you so much. Nancy said she was sending it to her friend who was psychic. I am so gratified that you could relate to my experiences and they were helpful to you in the here and now. Validation for others is a main reason I was willing to “come out” with my intuitive history and journey. It is inspiring to me that you have renewed vigor and I look forward to reading your book. BTW, I had an excellent experience self–publishing through BookLocker, if you are inclined that way. Very ethical and responsive and not at all expensive. Been around 20 years. Know that I am cheering you on from up here in the Blue Ridge!
